Higgins and Mrs. Higgins at the  Being Young and Irish seminar at Áras an Uachtaráin on Saturday last are current St. Macartan’s College students, and Michael McKenna, Ryan Treanor, Hassan Samin and the school principal Raymond McHugh. The seminar marked the final part of a six-month consultation process with young Irish people on their vision for the future of the country. President Higgins’s Being Young and Irish  consultation process with young people ran from May to September and held at 4 venues throughout the country including at St. Macartan’s College. The process culminated with Saturday’s Presidency Seminar at Áras an Uachtaráin which saw young people devise a vision for and a commitment to a new Ireland.
