One hundred years of sporting history will be celebrated at the Hillgrove
Hotel on February 16th next when parents, Past Pupils, staff and friends of
St. Macartan's College gather to celebrate another significant milestone in
the school's history. St. Macartan's as a school is steeped in the
traditions of Gaelic games and since Gaelic football was first played in the
College, every academic year has included participation in Gaelic games at
the highest level alongside the schools renowned emphasis on academic
excellence. Thanks to the efforts of a very enthusiastic and hardworking
committee and support from GAA clubs from throughout Co. Monaghan and
beyond, ticket sales are reported as excellent. Further information on this
