Dear Parents and Friends of St. Macartan’s College
You may know that St. Macartan’s College has embarked on a development project which on completion will see the building of a Technology Suite, Music Department, Autism facility and the the upgrading of our sports facilities. Part of this work will be grant aided by the Department of Education and Skills, however, the school is committed to raising €250,000 to complete the project to a standard we all expect for our students at St. Macartan’s College.
In conjunction with a committee of staff members, the Parents’ Association is organising a Who Wants to be a Thousandaire event. This event has proven to be an outstanding success for a number of schools throughout Ireland who have organised similar shows and also a most enjoyable night for parents.

The secret of the success of the show in other schools was that all parents were involved and we hope to have the same involvement from our parents at St. Macartan’s College.
At this stage we are requesting your help to seek businesses and self employed people who might support us by taking out an advertisement for the event on the night. Advertisers will also be promoted on the school’s website and social media platforms.
This will be the only Parents’ Association fundraising event for this year. For the event to succeed, we need the support of each family in the school community. If every family was in a position to sell one advert our event will be an outstanding success. If you do not wish to approach anybody yourself, but feel that your employer or any other business would be interested in advertising, please just send us the contact details and we will make the approach. Your support in getting one advert will make our plans possible for all of our children of our school.
