St. Macartan’s Success at Monaghan Student Enterprise Programme

The Monaghan Student Enterprise Awards were presented at the Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday March 8th. The Student Enterprise Programme is the largest enterprise competition for students in Ireland. It helps students learn real life business and enterprise skills. It is organised by the Monaghan Local Enterprise office.

St. Macartan’s won three prizes at this year’s event.

It helps students learn real life business and enterprise skills. It is organised locally by the Monaghan Local Enterprise office.

St. Macartan’s won three prizes at this year’s event.
Paul McPhillips and Niall Corrigan and their business Mullinera bunkers won First Prize overall in the senior category. Their business involves building and selling multi purpose steel bunkers. Paul and Niall will go forward to the national finals at Croke Park.

 

Christopher Flood and his business Ultimate Fitness Pack came 3rd overall in the senior category. Christopher’s sells an injury prevention pack that is suitable for any sport. It is designed to keep athletes injury free and help them improve flexibility and mobility.

The Social Media Category winners were Jack Murphy and Aaron Treanor. Their business is JNA Fire Safety Kits and they sell fire safety kits to equip the public with the best protection possible against fire.
