Ms. Mc Colgan’s Enterprise class are busy preparing their Business plans and making their business products as part of the year-long Enterprise Module. In this module, students get the opportunity to set up and run their own business. They develop key business skills such as planning, organising and control. They also develop their interpersonal skills by dealing with suppliers and customers. Students engage in financial management activities, marketing and personnel. Business ideas this year include wooden kennels and poultry coops, wooden clocks, decorative Christmas logs and Language booklets. Students are participating in this student enterprise competition in conjunction with L.E.O (the Local Enterprise Organisation). They, along with other schools in the county, must present their business idea and business plan to a number of judges on competition day which will be held in the Four Seasons Hotel in early February.
